This property is stunning, and the staff is exceptional. They epitomize the principle of keeping things simple and doing them well. Despite its spacious layout, the property is impeccably maintained and offers a variety of activities. I must give a special shoutout to Rafique. The staff is incredibly caring, ensuring that our toddler was well taken care of in terms of both activities and food. The food is another highlight of this place. A must-have experience!

This rural guest house ticked all the boxes for a natural retreat adjacent to a tiger preserve. I stayed two nights a one-bedroom cottage that was comfortable (and air conditoned) with a wonderful porch for watching birds and the animals on the farm, including beautiful spotted deer. The food was well prepared and delicious and the staff was attentive and helpful. The grounds are extensive and natural with a tower for wildlife observation. would recommend this location for anyone visiting the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.

Arrived through Kalathy Downhill in my MG ZSEV which was freewheeling downhill. Check in was simple and this is the first time we are here. Place was dry, should have been beautifully green if rains were around. We got a very spacious and clean Safari style room with a good sit out and opposite the little pond in their premises. I have been to many resorts in Africa, but this was similar where wildlife are free to come into the campus and go, so guests should respect their freedom and coexistence. Guests who do not value peaceful and undisturbed coexistence should not stay here and spoil the faith of the animals that come here. Food is simple but great taste and good quantity. A very quiet forest smell and sound enriched experience indeed.

Our 2 night stay at the Bamboo Banks farm guest house was too short. Apart from human guests the farm was also home to monkeys playing in the grounds or otherwise occupying the verandah of our cottage. Jumping on the roof in the middle of the night was also one of their pranks. A stray elephant in the night left its mark by pulling up a tree in the grounds. The surrounding grounds is also home to several bird species, among which the elusive blue bearded bee eater and jungle owlets. A guided walk around the grounds is possible. There is also a refreshing clean swimming pool. The guest house is a very welcoming place. Don’t expect luxury but the friendly staff and the best food we had during our trip to India made it a fantastic place to stay.
